Entry into the world of AI

NFON, a leading European provider of integrated cloud business communication, continues to push ahead with its transformation strategy. In a rapidly changing market environment dominated by the disruption of artificial intelligence (AI), NFON is taking over botario GmbH, an innovative technology company based in Bremen that specialises in the development and implementation of advanced AI solutions for business communication. This acquisition strengthens NFON’s expertise and expands its solution portfolio to include the application of artificial intelligence for modern business communication solutions.  At the same time, synergies provide additional impetus for the profitable growth trajectory we have embarked on. Patrik Heider, Chief Executive Officer of NFON AG: “botario is a profitable and rapidly growing company. The acquisition marks our entry into the world of AI. This opens up numerous attractive opportunities for NFON to accelerate our growth while continuing to boost our profitability . For NFON, this is our signal to start further developing AI-supported business communication and to once again push ahead with digitalisation!”

Expanding AI expertise

With a strong focus on speech processing and efficient automation, botario offers customised AI solutions that help companies optimise their business processes and automate their communication workflows. botario has a highly qualified team and the platform has already established itself in industries such as insurance, telecommunications and energy. Andreas Wesselmann, Chief Technology Officer of NFON AG: “With the acquisition of botario, we are significantly expanding our own AI expertise while simultaneously increasing our innovative strength. Our solution portfolio will be significantly increased, enabling us to provide our customers with a holistic approach to innovative solutions for modern and efficient business communication. I am looking forward to working together with the botario team!” Aljoscha Niazi-Shahabi, Managing Director of botario GmbH adds: “The acquisition will enable us to integrate our AI solutions more vertically and make them available to a significantly larger customer group in a profitable way. Our existing customers can expect even faster further development of the botario platform and a wider range of services. With NFON by our side, we can accelerate our growth. Further cooperation with the previous owner JUST ADD AI GmbH will also have a positive impact on this.”

Added value for partners and customers

The acquisition offers numerous cross-selling opportunities on both sides, opens up additional sources of revenue by addressing new industry and market segments, and enables our customer to enter the CRM segment. New growth prospects are also emerging for existing customers. This highlights NFON’s expertise in the field of AI and will enable it to expand its existing product portfolio to include AI functions such as voice bots, transcription, summarisation and live chat. The resulting added value for partners and customers is particularly significant, as it not only provides access to innovative technologies, but also optimises business processes and increases efficiency. This leads to a stronger market position and increased competitiveness.
